I was wondering when somebody was going to post something about this on 1afootball. I'm not going to vilify anybody as of yet, except for Jerry Sandusky. It is pretty obvious that he had a sickening hobby.

Guilty, Guilty, Guilty 45 times. Heard he was going to be in a special institution where he can't get abused. Don't think I agree with that decision.

Me either. I wish I could have 5 minutes with that sick bastard. Include that sissy red headed coach too. Here he was a mid-twenties graduate assistant that played football the year before that did nothing to stop Sandusky. What kind of man walks away from that without beating Sandusky to a pulp. Red Head needs to answer for that too IMO.

Wow... to that quote. and what do yall think about the future penalties placed on Penn State? kinda tough if ya ask me. Punishing the future students for something they had no part in. Some of this crap happened before these guys were even born!

Right now it appears the team is staying at Penn State. There has only been one kid (RS Freshman from AZ) that has stated he is transferring. Their stud RB is the only concern. We are only two weeks away from the start of fall practice. It will be difficult for a player to leave now. It will be interesting to see how many leave after the season as the NCAA has given players the freedom to transfer without penalty until the 2013 season. There might be an exodus once the season ends so those players can be a part of spring practice at their new school.

They currently have 78 players on scholarship according to a fan website. They have 13 players that will end their eligibility at the end of season but will really be the next year when they lose 20 more if none transfer.

2012 78 Scholarship
2013 65 scholarship
2014 44

Signing class size
2013 15 scholarship (85 total)
2014 15 scholarship (65 total max)
2015 15 scholarship (65 total max)
2016 15 Scholarship (65 total max)
2017 25 scholarship (65 total max)
2018 no restrictions

Depending on how many transfer and how many sign in the 2013 class - they are looking at a class of 8-10 in 2014.

If the team stays together they will be competitive on the field for the next 2-3 years - it might be 4-5 years until they see the impact of scholarship reductions
