This is a C. S. way of doing a poll.

Amen!!! Anyone that thinks Lockney is a Top 10, well....I don't think they could beat Seymour.

I agree and would wager Petrolia and Hawley could beat most of the teams ranked 9t. Yet, I'll also wager this poll is next year's opening poll.

I agree, no disrespect to any of the other state tournament teams. But after what I saw, #2 is the Weimar Lady Wildcats. They actually pulled off a couple of wins against Shiner this year. Once in district and once in the region finals. Shiner beat them 2-1 at the end of the regular season in a tie breaker to decide who won district. No other 2A team played Shiner as tough as them.

Drives me crazy the local media plays up the TGCA rankings - like they mean anything!!! In the preview of match-up with Archer City in the Region Final, the writer mentioned the only ahead of Windthorst in the rankings (Beckville) takes on #4 Harleton. I tweeted to him that rankings mean nothing and that if I was ranking teams Shiner would be #1 and Weimar #2 as Region 4 has won the last 5 State Championships (now 6!!). He tweeted back that he agreed but thought it should be noted nonetheless!

I guess I'm one of them guys that believe if you ain't first at the end, does it really matter where you are in the rankings?? I agree, Weimar probably was the 2nd best, but I'm sure they could care less.
