Historically, we've try to post all scores, comments, etc. in the Texas Softball 2016 or whatever year topic. We try to keep the poll topic just for poll comments. It's not hard rule but it seems more straight forward that way.

Again, this is strange (I know we're beating a dead horse, but isn't that the reason for forums?). A few observations.
1) Beckville is getting a raw deal. They are killing everyone they play. They were #2 last week and don't move to #1? They are absolutely loaded.
2) Harleton leap frogs everyone to get to #1? (see #1)
3) Crawford at 4. Get's beat by Bosqueville last night
4) Bosqueville should be ranked very high (see #3)
5) Same for Moody
6) Petrolia beats Archer City

The note says rankings reflect the imput he received. Yet, only mention of 2a was Weimar who he incorrectly mentioned as defending state champs. Which, is easy to do when that district wins as many as they do, but i digress.

No worries, probably just as I get older I have problems following multiple threads but that's my short-coming

I don't have an issue with Harleton #1. They won two years ago with Freshman pitcher (Randi Carroll Phillips), lost to Shiner last year and with the pitcher now being a Junior, I can see them ranked high. Beckville also deserves a high ranking and should stay in top 2 until someone beats them. Crawford is too high and yes, I accidentally left off Bosqueville on another post as another top R2 threat. I don't know anything about Moody.

Petrolia beat Archer City on a disputed call where AC hit a 3-run homer but the field ump declared it a ground-rule double. A Petrolia friend of mine said it definitely cleared the fence and AC was robbed of extra runs. But it is what it is so we move on.

I might have misunderstood what was told to me which I relayed to WD - cause looking at the play by play I couldn't find said event. Unless it was the other way around and Petrolia was ruled to have hit a 3 run hr which should have been a ground rule double?? - which would have made the score 6-5 Petrolia heading to 7th as the next girl made the 3rd out.

I spoke to a close Archer City friend and it was their player (Olivia Kellar) who was possibly "robbed" on the call.

Yep - got the information from a Petrolia parent that works at my plant!!! Should have put AC up 6-0 in the 3rd but next batter K'd, a walk and then a fly out ended the inning. It was a 2 run shot and not 3 is what threw me off!!

Parent said his daughter is friend's with the AC girl should have been her first ever HR.

The poll is crazy....if you lose one game you might drop 10 spots or out of poll. Top 5 teams regardless of records or whatever and in no particular order are: Harleton, Shiner, Beckville, Weimar and Windthorst.
Next 5 are Bosqueville, Archer City, Thorndale, Thrall and Crawford.

Also, in the poll by TGCA it says "defending state champion Weimar" ....which is incorrect, that would be Shiner.

Yes sir and down w/it went probably at least a shot a district title. Not saying win it but any hopes of it just got demolished, we would be 6-0> it changed the entire game and the complextion of it, deflated us and lifted them. Unreal he should truly be ashamed of himself.

A #5 losing by a couple of runs to a #4 should not drop them out of the top 10 in my mind. Maybe drop one spot, two at most. Ridiculous!
