What kind of pitching do these teams have? I know what Weimar has and she is pretty darn good. More than capable of holding a team to three runs or less.

Same for ptown, she pitched both games against windy and both against AC. She's good . Strong infield, outfield weakest, not much speed to cover ground. If u can get it out there u can move runners but to their credit they have decent arms out there not rockets but decent.

They're solid and hit the ball well against windthorst, not so much against AC. But hitting is streaky. They move runners w bunting well against AC

Harleton leads Hubbard 5-0 in bottom of 6th inning. Harleton has 10 hits and using their speed and short game to advantage. Hubbard has two errors and is being no-hit by Harleton pitcher so far.

Harleton pitcher, Randi Carol Phillip, carries a perfect game into the bottom of the 7th inning as they lead Hubbard 5-0

Perfect game (21 batters up / 21 batters down) for Harleton pitcher, Randi Carol Phillips, as she leads her team over Hubbard 5-0; BTW, she's only a freshman.

Last no-hitter was Amber Wolf (Windthorst) 2003 according to the announcer.

Harleton advanced to state championship game vs winner of Petrolia / Weimar

We needed a no-hitter that year to win as we defeated Elkhart Slocum 1-0 in the semi-finals. Flatonia defeated us 3-0 in championship game - Kassi Mikulik an LSU signee (volleyball, but also played softball for the Tigers) played on that team.

Weimar was a much more complete team than Petrolia. There were several things done by the players and the coaches that were not fundamentally sound either. It just looked like the team was unsure of themselves the whole game.

No hitter by Cherise Klekar of Hallettsville vs Early in 2009 state tourney...her dad by the way is the principal at Weimar.

Announcers were probably referring to 1A.

Big difference in a no hitter and a perfect game..IMO. The idea that no one reached is just awesome

3A Semifinal: Van 15 Snyder 13
Wow! What a game; broke the state record for most combined runs. 31 hits, 11 errors and even had 4 illegal pitches called. Game ended on a throw from the outfield to home. If she'd been safe, then Snyder would have had a runner on 3rd with the winning run at the plate. Both teams were hitting the ball hard.

Van better clean up the illegal pitches and errors for the championship game.

Weimar took a 3-0 lead to the top of the 7th, but Harleton scored 3 in the top and had the go ahead run at 3rd with 1 out before getting out of the inning. Weimar scores in the bottom of the 7th to claim back to back state championships, their 5th overall which I believe is a state record.
