The Tolar Rattlers shook up the top 25 on Friday by beating #2 Bosqueville 8-4. Of course, Bosqueville didn't pitch their ace against us since it was a non-district game but we still faced some good pitching. We were all very proud of our guys for playing so well against a top team. No offense intended but we are in a district where most of the teams don't have a JV and struggle to put 9 men on the field. We had outscored our district opponents 88-1 in the four district games we have played and that was with the Coach putting in subs after the game was in control. It was a smart move by our coach to schedule a tough team like Bosqueville on one of our off days. We weren't sure what kind of team we really had until Friday night. We are 8-1-1 with only a 7-7 tie with Glen Rose and a 7-2 loss to Crawford being the only blemishes on our season. The Rattlers have missed the playoffs the past four years but it looks like we might just make it to them this year.
